“Silence filled the room, thick and palpable. No Elder Meeting had ever been this divided. Conflict had always existed towards something or someone else, and they came together to resolve it together. They’d disagreed many times, but they’d never been divided.” Until Sadie.

Sadie loathes being a Mage with the ability to read any thought, change a memory, or control others with her mind. Years ago she vowed to never use coercive magepower again. She broke the promise to save her girlfriend’s life and discovered her heritage as well as Billie’s.

Billie never dreamed she’d discover her mate is a Mage. After centuries of conflict, none could remember even a simple friendship between the races. As Beta, Billie’s obligation to her pack is clear except where Sadie is concerned. Few Wolves will look beyond her mate’s race and their relationship threatens to come between her and her pack.

Sadie would like nothing more than a normal life with her girlfriend, but normal doesn’t exist for a Wolf and a Mage. An ancient Wolf asks Sadie to stop a Mage assault on Billie’s pack. To protect those she loves, Sadie must break her promise and jeopardize everything. She could lose Billie, the few friendships she’s gained in the pack, and the Alpha’s protection.

For the first time in her life, she’ll meet others like her.

This book contains descriptions of lesbian sex. If you're under 18 years old or you object for any reason, then this isn't the book for you. Otherwise, enjoy!

Psyche Honor Psyche Moon Book 2 edition by Chrissie Buhr Literature Fiction eBooks

Chrissie Buhr hit a home run with this unique series. I've just finished Psyche Honor and wonder WHEN will she release the third book in the Psyche Moon series.

In Psyche Honor we see the Pack in crisis over whether they can trust their Beta as her relationship solidifies with Sadie. Sadie learns more about her role in protecting the same Pack that will not accept her and barely tolerates her existence. We learn about Kato and the history of the Pack Elders. What is his interest in Sadie? Will Billie be forced to choose between the Pack and her mate. Who will live, some will die, will the mate bond between Billie and Sadie survive the hatred some Wolves have for Sadie? Will Sadie find the strength necessary to do what she must to survive?

Oh boy, you've gonna love this one. Get a comfy chair 'cause you will be sitting on the edge. Enjoy!

If I must find a fault, it is only the editing. Sometimes a bit confusing as to who is speaking but so worth the effort and time spent in reading. A really different story about people and Wolves.

leaIt was the beginning of a relationship and the awareness that change was coming--change for Sadie and Billie and for Billie's pack. Life would never go back to what it used to be.

Psyche Honor Psyche Moon Book 2 edition by Chrissie Buhr Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

The first book in this serious started out with less than stellar writing that isn't polished & doesn't play out smoothly and it appears like nothing short of simple erotica. However, about a third of the way in, the meat of the story finally makes an appearance and gradually throughout, the writing quality improves, which is why I decided to give this second installment in the series a chance and I believe it is even better, story-wise & writing-wise, than the first. It is obvious this is a new author and it's nice to see her natural progression of improvement from chapter to chapter and book to book. At the end of the book we are provided with an excerpt of the third installment, announced as coming soon. I'll be looking forward to it.
The first book concerned me a bit, wayy to much intercourse in the first half of the book, but that's another review all in itself. By the time the first one(Psyche Moon) ended it recovered enough to make me want to read the second. This one is a bit easier to follow. The plot is a bit more twisting and keeps you eager to read on.I like the different characters, it's not just flawless skin and tough guys. It makes you think your local tattoo artist could be a wolf. I also like the fact that everything did not go how the main characters wanted **spoiler alert**; i.e. gratitude after what happened.
The cons I wish we would of kept the the trio of other mages around, I was really looking forward to the evil deeds they could commit and how they could upset the balance in the main characters lives. I will def. read the next to see what's in store for this pack of wolves/mage. I've read the preview to the next one and it seems very interesting so far.
The first book in this series was too short in my opinion and lacking in fluid details, but the second one is not only pretty satisfying plot-wise, it is also adequate in length. I really enjoy the story and the characters. The dynamics of the politics within Pack and between wolf and Mage are complex and engaging, allowing the reader to formulate their own opinions and take up all viewpoints. I read this book in one sitting. Very well done.

The only things I could find reason to complain about were;

1. The climax of this book's plot was somewhat unsatisfying. There was no "big bang" or "final finish." All the conflicts flowed together and didn't seem bigger or more important than the others; in fact, I couldn't really tell which part of the ending was the climax, and the very end left us on yet another conflicting note, though not on a huge cliffhanger. Where the climaxes mingled, I could really sense how it's all coming together to spur the rising action of the series onward as a whole. But within this single book, the action seemed to build everything up to a higher expectation than what I ultimately received.

2. The repeated jumping between the third and first person perspectives throughout the book is grating. When reading a first-person perspective novel it is disruptive and aggravating for the reader to be torn away from the main character's thoughts and feelings and thrust into a narration of others', especially when it is randomly in a third person format. The effect is jarring and forces the reader to take a moment to shift gears and re-orient themselves, disrupting the absorption of the story unnecessarily. The author seems to be taking this effect under consideration far too lightly. Sticking with one or the other is a much safer bet, and Sadie is too much of the focus to be pushed out into a third person narration. I feel that her abilities should give the reader ample opportunity to see the perspectives of other characters without there being the need for the author to switch to a third person view. The effect this story has could be further enhanced by simply sticking to a single Modus Operandi rather than jumping around. I know there are certain parts of the book where it seemed prudent for the shift to be made in order to give the reader all the necessary information, but if the author is clever enough to manufacture the dynamics of a plot like this, then I believe they can also figure out a way to work around this problem in future works.

Still, I eagerly await the next installment in the Psyche series! Keep up the good work! )
The best lesbian-themed/lesbian written series I have read in a long time. Well written, well plotted. Her care with the characters' feelings and setting of the scenery took me back to lesbian author greats suck as Katherine V Forrest and Karin Kallmaker. The fact that it is also a fast-paced paranormal/sci fi theme is icing on the cake! The sex scenes were not gratuitous (in either book) and I loved the depth of emotion that went along with them. This book was definitely more action packed and the story paced along much quicker; almost too quick with not quite enough of that emotional pull that sucked me in with the first book. Still, it was a great read and I am anxiously awaiting the 3rd installment!
